Connecting Threads Sewing Group

A small group of sewing enthusiasts who come together to work on their individual sewing projects. Suitable for all skill levels including beginners as our wonderful JP, Irene, is on hand to offer help and guidance. $5 per session, BYO equipment and project.

Our calligraphy group started out as beginners but over the years have progressed to become a social group. Don’t let that keep you from coming along as they are always welcoming new people and will happily assist anyone wanting to learn.  $5 per session. Bring what you can to get started and build as you go.

Meet and Eat Lunches

Free social lunches for the community giving our local residents the opportunity to enjoy company, conversation and a homestyle meal. Funded by cash for containers donations and Secondhand Book Sale proceeds.

Happy Hookers Crochet Group

A fun group of locals who have found friendship while crocheting and knitting. Suitable for all skill levels including beginners as help is always on hand. $5 per session.

Seniors Keepfit at the CRC

Keepfit is a low impact exercise class for seniors designed to stay active. Classes are a fun way to meet other locals and always end with a funny joke or two. Suitable for all abilities. Best part is the conversations had after with morning tea held in the CRC alfresco area. Just $5 for a scone/cake and a cuppa.

Fridays 9:00am – 10:15am $20 per term

Also available in the Kingia Room at the SJ recreation Centre on Mondays 9am and at the Byford Districts Country Club on Wednesday mornings.

Boredom Busters

Run throughout the school term our Boredom Buster activities are designed to give kids from our local area an opportunity to have fun and create friendships while interacting with our CRC staff and volunteers. Providing the kids of SJ a place of belonging and shaping the volunteers of the future.
